Busy Q2 on Tap, What Excites You the Most? Stuck

Usually, Q2 is a pretty quiet time of the year as far as sports gaming is concerned with only one or two big games due out during that time period. This year, that is completely out the window with a ton of big names coming out in the next three months. Here are the games I'm most excited about:

PunchOut! (May 18) - If this game even lives up to 80% of it's namesake, it will be one of the best Wii games released thsi year. I'm keeping an eye on this one.

Virtua Tennis 2009 (May 19) - I played the crap out of the dreamcast version of this game back in the day, I'm wondering how good this year's version will be?

EA Sports Active (May 19) - I tried Wii fit...it was ok. I'm hoping EA Sports Active is the Wii exercise "app" that I dreamed up when I first considered the possibilities. We'll see....

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 (June 16) - Last year's version was a good, solid effort. However, the whole package is just beginning to feel stale, I'm interested to see what EA has done to make it fresh again.

Fight Night Round 4 (June 30) - I'm not sure, but I think Fight Night might be one of the most anticipated games of 2009 on OS. Will it live up to the enormous hype it's getting?

I'm pumped about FNR4, everything I've seen of it so far has looked awesome. I might have some interest in Virtua Tennis 2009, but I don't know much about it yet.

I am most interested in seeing how UFC Undisputed 2009 is when it comes out May 19th.

I have some interest but nothing strong enough to warrant a purchase. NCAA, Madden and particularly Uncharted 2 will be games I'll take a stronger look at buying in Q3.

I will be getting EA Fitness for the wife but won't be using it myself. I'll play Fight Night at my brother's.

I'm very interested in UFC Undisputed as well...I was going to put that on my list but I'm trying to keep my blog posts short. I'm still iffy on whether the game will deliver or not...first attempts at a next game game rarely turn out awesome but some do end up above average.

I am looking forward to the new Tiger Woods. TW09 was a very balanced, solid game with a good feel on the 360. The only thing that was missing was dynamic, real time lighting and weather and now that is supposed to be in TW10. They had that on the PC a few years ago, but it never made it to the next gen consoles. Hopefully EA doesnt screw up the gameplay with TW10.
