Poll reveals OS'ers are cool to MLB 2K13's Surprise Appearance on the Release Lineup Stuck
Posted on January 16, 2013 at 11:43 AM.

It appears that Operation Sports readers aren't as excited about the MLB 2K13 announcement as gaming writers.

In the poll (non-scientific through and through), just 16% of OS Readers reported they are for sure buying the game. When combined with people leaning yes, that number is at or near 25%.

63% of Operation Sports readers are not planning on buying the game. When combined with readers leaning no, an incredible 75% of OS Readers are unsure about their purchase of MLB 2K13.

In an earlier poll worded differently in December, 60% of users were indicative they were planning on buying The Show.

Other polls in the past that we've done indicate excitement for MLB 2K13 is quite low and the reaction is quite cool overall to the game's release. If the game does release with a limited amount of new features, it might be a good idea to lower the price as soon as possible to spur more sales.

Is there a price point that you'll buy MLB 2K13 at?

Nope, I have a ps3 so why would I waste my money on this game when it's clear.. to me at lease.. they really have no clue as to what they want to do with the franchise.

I agree with the above comments. I'm a PS3 owner and wouldn't touch 2K13 with a 10 ft pole. However, I have always enjoyed it on PC and would for sure buy it if it came out on that platform. However, it's more than likely part of the new agreement with the MLB stipulated that 2K is not obligated to release on the PC.

So no, I'm not buying or even considering buying 2K13.

I would...............but The Show exists.

The Show vs 2K wars aside, 2K sports/VC has shown no signs of improving and fixing bugs over the past couple years. So it is a no for me, which is unfortunate because it was my game of choice for over 5 years.

Because everybody (justifiably) is assuming 2k13 is just a roster update, I imagine a $20 price point would bring in more purchase commitments. Too bad it's going to be $60 again.

I'm excited because there is competition in the vg universe again and whether its a bad game or not --makes sure scea stays on its toes

I love baseball but im willing to wait untill next gen to plat another baseball game. MLB 2k13 will probably be just 2k12 with a roster update so unless its like 20 bucks or something I won't buy it because I still have 2k12 with updated rosters wich will do for now.

My Career mode would have to be just as good as NBA 2k13's for me to consider a $60 purchase and even then, I'm probably waiting for a price drop 'cause it'll take em that long to fix all the bugs in it.. If it's just a roster update and cost $60 I'll buy 2k12 for the $20, we'll know if they worked on it too because they won't tell us what has been improved in it or post screen shots and gameplay videos but will remind us constantly about the Million Dollar Challenge
