The Angels Lineup Makes Them a Top Pick in MLB 13: The Show Stuck

Albert Pujols. Josh Hamilton. Mike Trout.

That's not an MLB All-Star team, that's the front end of the Angels lineup starting in 2013 -- and that's the lineup of a team that is about to become insanely popular in MLB 13: The Show.

Currently, the projected best case scenario lineup for the Angels looks something like this:

1)Mike Trout
2)Erick Aybar
3)Albert Pujols
4)Josh Hamilton
5)Kendrys Morales
6)Mark Trumbo
7)Howie Kendrick
8)Alberto Callaspo
9)Chris Iannetta

That's the type of lineup that'll be tough to pitch through. As a Rangers fan, it makes me personally jealous because Texas had this type of a lineup for three years running now.

There is no doubt the Angels have become one of the top choices for The Show gamers -- and if the Halos somehow add some starting pitching they could be one of the best in the game. Don't count out the Rangers or A's in the west either -- but LAA is much closer to getting over the hump after adding another big bat in the middle of the lineup than they were a week ago.

There's not much out there. I heard whispers of a Trumbo/Dickey trade. As much as it would hurt to see Dickey go, it would diffidently help out the METS OF situation. I don't know if I can believe that since I haven't heard anything about it until last night.

The Angels have some pretty good young trade bait now with Trumbo and Borjous. I can't imagine them shipping out either of those 2 guys for anything but a solid pitcher in his prime. Not a 40-year-old knuckleballer. Personally I hope Trumbo stays but unless they can teach him third base maybe it's best for him to go...

That's what I was thinking, too. Trumbo is no slouch. And the kid can play multiple positions which is clutch. I just hope New York, if they move him, can get impact players back. That is what they've said all along, but the team is still owned by the Wilpon's. Excuse me while I puke real quick...

Don't panic just yet, sim spring training to opening day... The line-up won't look anything like that!

Yeah, it looks like Dickey is going to Canadia for either D'Arnaud or Arincibia. I hope Sandy is pulling the trigger for D'Arnaud, who was willing to get moved for Niese and not Dickey. I'll take a top catching prospect for the dude. It's just going to suck to see him go, though.

They definately have a fun video game lineup. They finished 3rd in scoring and in most offensive categories despite a horrendous April where nobody was hitting and where Pujols was disastrous. Once Trout called up, they played at a 95 win pace but the hole was too deep and Oakland was amazingly hot. Pujols was quietly back to his old self too and finished with a decent line.

Their pitching is fine. Nobody has a perfect roster, but their rotation was towards the top in just about every category including quality starts and ERA etc. The middle relievers were the problem and led the league in blown saves but they migt have addressed that this off season.

Can't count out Texas and Oakland (even Seattle has stingy pitching and can be tough if they were in the Central) but LAA is on he rise and the West is looking fun.
