OS'ers Agree: Lack of Baseball on 360 isn't a Concern Stuck
Posted on December 5, 2012 at 05:44 PM.

Folks at SCEA expecting a big bump in MLB: The Show sales from a lack of competition this year are probably in for a bit of a disappointment if a new poll of sports gamers on Operation Sports is to be believed.

With 800 respondents, a huge majority of gamers plan to cope with the loss of MLB 2K with sheer indifference. Perhaps bringing light into why the MLB 2K series failed, 56% of respondents were planning to buy The Show as they always have. On the opposite end of the spectrum, five percent of respondents are planning to buy a PS3 just so they can play a decent baseball game. This is a decent size of respondents for sure -- I was personally a little surprised it was as high as 5%.

Regardless, looking at the poll -- it's pretty clear most gamers were already doing what this year is going to force some to do: play MLB: The Show exclusively on the PS3.

Sound off: Will you miss MLB 2K at all?

to be honest i pretty much play all my games on the 360 but still have my ps3 around solely for mlb the show. in fact, i bought it originally for the show since i bb is my fav sport & was SO frustrated at the "other" choice we had to go with!

EA Sports game look better on 360 than PS3, due to better lighting engines and higher resolutions.

Their DICE engine games, Battlefield series and Need for Speed The Run, to name a few, look great on PS3 though with no drop-off from 360.
