Horrible decision. D'Antoni likes to run a fast-paced offense, and with almost every member of the Lakers being at least fifty years old, this is not going to be good for LA.

One of the few that likes the idea... However, Lakers needs to beef up the bench to go along with D'Antoni's offense.

Terrible move, D'Antoni loves pace, Lakers don't have that and why in the world would you pass on the arguable the best coach in NBA history for this guy...

yea, I don't like the decision either. The Laker team won't be able to run like D'Antoni's Suns did a few years back. It'll be like another Knicks fiasco for D'Antoni.

Lakers need to get some younger players now

Never made sense to me that they would want Phil when a.) ev'one close to team syas Jim Buss wanted Phil out less than 2 years ago b.) they failed to hire Brian Shaw to replace Phil and c.) the triangle offense is considered just as complicated as the version of the Princeton Brown was running.

why dont we let them play a few games first, then judge the GM...by the many years of experience combined by the few people above who have GM'd before, let the man do his job, see how it plays out. kinda reminds me of how NB2k gets complained about every year before anyone ever even plays it...sheesh...yes you are entitled to ur opinions, but so am I

mike brown took LeBron and the Cavs to the finals.... D'antoni has never appeared in the finals, in my opinion D'antoni is a worse coach..

You could say the same thing about Doc Rivers, Rick Carlisle, Erick Spolestra, or even Phil Jackson way back then. Even the great coaches had to start somewhere, usually with some failing before they start winning. Mike D'Antoni never had a roster like this. People also say the Spurs are old, but they run at a fast pace.
