Awards I Wished We Could Have Handed Out.... Stuck

At first, we had about 25-30 categories which we were looking to give out awards to, but realizing the futility of the situation (we're only human after all) we ended up combining several categories and nixing others completely. Here are some categories and who I would've picked as the winner:

Best Audio - MLB '08: The Show
The audio in The Show was some of the best I've ever heard in the sports game from the announcing to the sound effects.

Biggest Disappointment of 2008 - MLB 2K8
I was way hyped for this game with all of the pre-release info. When the game released and was virtually unplayable, I jumped ship and bought a PS3 and haven't looked back since.

Surprise Title of the Year - NBA Live 09
Some people were putting this title on the same level as NBA 2K9. NO ONE would have called that last January. I don't think Live was THAT good, but it was certainly much better than I thought it would be.

Best Dynasty/Franchise Mode of the Year - Out of the Park Baseball 9
No regular game matches the text-sim world...yet. I have played 15+ seasons of OOTP baseball....nuts!

Sleeper Title of the Year - NFL Head Coach 09
In the mold of games you should have played but never did, Head Coach was that game this year. People who played this game loved it for the most part around OS.

I only tried the 2K8 PS3 demo and it was awful. I couldn't believe it actually when you compared it to the Show. The Show had 10 GB of audio. Enough said (thanks Blu Ray).

I like Live a lot but as a casual gamer who hasn't played 2K9 couldn't say it's better. I simply have no clue. Both demos seemed good and I read that Live was better out of the box for the casual gamer so I got that one with Christmas gift cards. I'm happy.
