A Couple More Possible 2K Projects

Caley Roark wrote a great article yesterday talking about which sports 2K Sports should look into expanding their game library to. Here are a few more of my own personal choices that he didn't include:

Soccer - The world's favorite sport is also the world's favorite video game sport. No sport sells quite like soccer does to gamers worldwide. If 2K could make a great soccer game, they could fund the rest of their lineup with that and NBA 2K easily.
Golf - Sure, Tiger Woods PGA Tour is out there -- but it's the only real option for Golf fans right now. If you could somehow get a few guys to sign on to the creation of this game with enough recognizeable courses, you could have a pretty good seller on your hands.
Rugby - This would be a niche title, but EA produced a title for a bit. The big concern is, EA's title never sold very well. So you either got to produce this game on a budget, or you have to find a way to get the casual gamer to love this game.

I'm going to post another blog early next week which talks about what I'd do if I were the CEO of 2K Sports to try to improve business across the board, but these three titles would be a good start to getting some sales going.
