Nba Live 10: Demo
Posted on September 19, 2009 at 05:14 AM.
Just my view and opinion of the responses the game has gotten so far. No, I'm not mad at anyone hating or not liking the game.

Well, I'm really surprised that anyone who enjoyed Live 09 isn't satisfied with live 10. 30 minutes of just shooting around in the hangar did it for me. The first time I felt the control of the players and how different one is from another, I was real excited. Could it of been all the hype building up and finally being able to play the game? Maybe.

The only thing about that is, I still feel the same way after tons of hours of playing this demo. Also, unlike some people I can excuse some faults knowing this is just a demo and not the final game. To me this game is almost perfect, throw in 2k's shot blocking and Imo you got the perfect basketball game. Of course 1000 more animations could help, but I don't really feel like I can't enjoy this game without them.

Well I'm going to stop myself there, this is what happens when you got nothing to do on a friday lol. Now, I'm not trying to change anyones minds or conceptions about the game. It's just to me, I thought this game was damn near ground breaking, but maybe that was just hype. I guess I'll close with this. Video games are just another form of entertainment so stop being so critical.

Again, not saying anyone is wrong for not liking the game. I guess you could say I'm just thinking out loud.....

I hear you Dog... I have the same take on Live 10. I've played both games over the last few years and I'm really impressed with the direction and execution of Live 10 in regards to rewarding the knowledgeable sim baller and discouraging the "cheeser".
The player models and atmosphere are much improved and the player/team differentiation REALLY stands out. What impressed me most is the unbelievable leap forward from the 09 base. I still can't believe it's THAT MUCH better than last year's game... at least from what i see in the demo. This is the kind of basketball many of us 'simmers' have been waiting for. I'm actually looking forward to tons of online play this year without crazy spin moves and hot zones and ridiculous full court presses and everything else that has plagued virtual ballers over the last couple of years. Just straight up ballin!!
One last note... The off-ball control opens the game up like never before. As much as i love the much improved AI, the off-ball control allows ME to fully control my offense and that is worth its weight in gold. This game is spot-on bananas and if ya don't know... Now ya know!
10/6 it's goin' down.

I haven't purchased a basketball game in light years. With that said, I've played both Live and 2k's demo's since 2008. In the past I've preferred the live demo over 2k's. I shelled out 4.99 and purchased NBA 2k10 combine, and I now get the intricacies in setting up plays vs live10's arcadish feel. I controlled Kobe in my 1st game on Live 10 and was unstoppable. However, I really like the idea of the DNA feature......I might buy 2 basketball games this year.
