A different way to announce
Posted on September 16, 2009 at 08:28 PM.
Announcing in basketball games is below average of what it could be to say the least. After a couple days it gets stale. Even playing the NBA Live 10 demo I have already memorized that VC is the best deep 3 point shooter in the league. In Madden, Chris Collinsworth wont stop telling you about how old time players use to play in the dark, or how he cant believe he use to play in the NFL.

This is because they only have a couple days to record and usually take most of the recordings from last year. Well how bout these games hire someone to work with them year round. Some guys that arent on TV that just have good announcing voices who can work year round with the game company. No more lines repeating. Just new lines almost every game. Every week they could just focus on a team. Imagine hearing around 5-20 lines for each player on your team. I want to hear new stuff about Tom Brady everytime he throws a TD. Every week they could focus on a team, a position, rookies, certain game situations, preseason games, playoff games, and the Superbowl.

New material, fresh game. I dont care if Joe Schmo is announcing my game rather than Chris Collinsworth. NFL 2K5 had some guys announcing Ive never heard of yet it was better than all the next gen Madden games combined.

This would make games fresh and Id really care about their insight and new material. I wouldnt just be playing but listening intently.
