My madden 10 review and additions for Madden 11..

Madden 09 was a huge dissapointment in my eyes. IQ was stupid, Rewind was idiotic, and the worst thing ever added to a football game. Gameplay was similar to '08 and I was convinced EA just basically updated the rosters every year and laughed as I gave my $60 to the cashier.

Then I saw Madden 10. Tried to ignore it because of last year, and I was trying to pick up NFL 2K5 with updated rosters. Yet, slowly I got dragged into the hype and all the changes. Then I bought it for $60 again. Once I put it in my 360 I was shocked at how good this game was.

So heres the good..

The gameplay has seen massive improvements. I dont have to run out of the pocket with Brady because now I have a nice pocket. When someone runs 20 yards back, their accuracy decreases dramatically. Throwing on the run is risky. Signature QB styles looked nice and felt even better.

Anyways, my first play with the Jets, I tried the new Wildcat and gave a jet sweep to Leon Washington. First play he gets a huge hole and out sprints everyone for an 80 yard TD. Talk about speed differential. I have fell in love with the wildcat from then. I use it about 5 times a game to change things up finding most people cant stop it. I, myself have trouble stopping it but have recently shut down opponents who attempt it against me.

The slow-downed gameplay is for the better with holes developing. I can finally run through the middle in this game! Pro-Tak looks very good. Defenders swarm the ball carrier. And when the ball carrier rarely breaks out of a pile it is plain awesome. Also, the presentation is leaps and bounds above '09. Love when the chain gang comes out for a big play. Or did he get he cross the plane on 4th down? Just plain exciting.

Dynasty mode has been changed. Mainly the draft is awesome. I get plenty of busts, average players, and some fantastic late round gems but not too much. And it may sound easy but it can be difficult to get good players sometimes.

Dont forget that you can finally create 32 teams for dynasty mode!

Heres the decent...

The halftime show and Extra Point are good additions but the terrible commentary or no commentary for highlights means it doesnt reach its full potential. Also no highlights for Extra Point.

Fight for the Fumble. Not in love with the button mashing but when you turn it off it is a really good feature.

The bad...

Many holding calls on field goals. Should be fixed in patch though.

3-4 defense. NT doesnt recieve double teams.

Bad pursuit angles by defense.

RBs are left alone in the flats too often.

A.I. of OL on run blocking plays.

TOM HAMMOND!! that ones obvious though.

Final Madden 10 score: 90/100

Madden 09 score: 65/100

Madden 11 improvements.

Fix all the bad first and foremost. Some may be fixed in a patch though.

Get rid of Hammond!!! And here are your options. Add Gus Johnson, Al Michaels, Jim Nantz, Joe Buck, or add the whole entire MNF crew with the ESPN logo in your scoreboard. Would be sweet.

Add commentary for highlights for Halftime show and add highlights and box scores from around the league. I see it EVERY SUNDAY.

Also add commentary and highlights for the Extra Point show as a recap of every game.

Make the WRs be more aggresive. And bat down some throws so there isnt an INT. More WR/DB animations for catches.

Less dropped picks, and more batted balls or throws that hit the ground.

Let us commit to the run/pass before plays and show lots of blitz like the Ravens.

Less over the shoulder catches and more WR turns and catches it animations.

Have the camera shake when the crowd is pumped and long 3rd down plays on the road.

good review...!M10 gets a B- imo! long way from M09 which was an F! so 2 start on M11 get rid of Hammond...my choice would defidnetly be Al Michaels,him an Colinsworth was great in the HALL OF fAME game!!!

He actually responded to my request about havin late hits out of bounds an illegal foward passes cross the line of scrimmige...which is now in M10. SO he is listening.
