The problem with the 'Sim' concept

Every year Madden talks about how there game is sim and not arcade. But I almost want a mixture of both, because Madden is not very fun. The game is somewhat realistic but not fun on defense. The reason I buy the game is because I love watching/playing football. When my Jets are on defense there still fun to watch. Once they stop someone in the backfield or if they get a sack they all celebrate pumping their fists. There arent many big hits on wide recievers or as big as a hit where Reggie Bush got wrecked in the playoffs, The crowd doesnt go crazy on 3rd or 4th down plays. But I guess defense on Madden is still 'sim'. Just not fun.

I think I get what you are saying. I am not 100% sim myself I like to think I am 90% sim player. I don't like cheese and cheaters but, some non sim "fun" aspects in the game.
