Today I took a step back into the past and picked up the Original XBoX for $30. That's right $30!!! Talk about Xmas in September!!! Now as I was making the drive home the following thought crossed my mind ...with the way that some current sports title have been released with what appears to be no quality control protocols to identify buggy gameplay pre-launch. How many folks go back to the old games on the first gen consoles. I have the Ps3 that's backward compatible and I just got the boX again and let me tell you, I'm excited to play some old titles. What about you?? Sound off. P.S gonna look for Oddworld where the character's bounty hunter who shot critters at you using a crossbow if I remember correctly. Why this was never made BC for the360 I will never know. A great game.

@Eski33 Did Double Dribble have player ratings. I know some teams were supposed to be good at certain things, but never knew if it was true or not.

In regards to older games, I play them all the time...except for sports games. About the only one I miss is Baseball Stars from WAAAAAAY back and occasionally MVP 05.

Otherwise, I don't usually go back to play old sports games. Other genres like RPGs or Strategy games, yep - all the time. My SNES is still hooked up to my TV (original launch version and everything - still works). Gamecube is still hooked up, but there's only like 4 games I ever got for it

I went and picked up a copy of NFL2k5 cause of the following it has til this day and I try and try to play next Gen football but I do not enjoy playing it. I never played NFL2k5 cause I was happy with Madden in 03-06. I am glad I picked it up for $2.00 because it is the best football simulation I have ever played. Sad that a game from 7 years ago is better than what we are presented now but I have fun with it.

From what I can tell, NFL2K5 was clearly ahead of its time in terms of gameplay physics / player movement. It does play on the XBox360 so I have found that version looks better than the PS2 version. I just need to figure out how to transfer files to my XBox so I can use all of the updated roster sets.

Still playing NFL2K5 and NCAA 2006 on xbox, until they come up with something subtantial in the football arena in the next gen

Was thinking about getting NCAA Football 06 for my XBox360 but was wondering about how to easily update the rosters with names.

Just hooked up a component A/V cable to my original XBox to improve the video quality. Makes a HUGE difference, particularly with games that came out around 2004 or after. Just played MVP Baseball 2005 and it looked really good.
