Today New Orleans Saints Head Coach Dusty McDonald released the preseason depth chart
This year the saints come in with a similar roster to the one used in the teams record breaking year. Their were four key departures; Superbowl hero Tracy Porter, speed wide-receiver Robert Meachem and defensive tackles Aubraylo Franklin and Shaun Rogers. But the saints biggest departure was head coach Sean Payton, who was suspended for the entire 2012 season due to a bounty scandal. But the saints have revamped the teams poor defense which was ranked 30th in the NFL last season. The Saints picked up linebackers Curtis Lofton and David Hawthorne. Also the saints picked up great run stopping defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley. Although the Saints are missing their leader Sean Payton, they have improved their defense and still have a Drew Brees led offense. Many people outside New Orleans locker room believe a Drew Brees led team always has a shot to contend for a Superbowl.
