What will LIVE have left to hang their hats on? SERVERS?
I am pretty much an offline guy, so that wouldnt matter to me much; but there isnt much that EA can say we are going to do better (than 2K), other than copy the game script for script!
I was a big EA LIVE gamer for one reason and one reason only; the dribble stick, and shot buttons, and this was the best feeling for me and NBA LIVE 10. I played that game soo much over 2K10, and a little into 2K11, until i got used to the iso-motion in 2K and the lack of appeal for LIVE 10 and their roster update (which, "EA" provided because of NBA-delete 11).
The news of Mike Wang bringing over a tidbit of that EA dribble feeling has me on cloud NINE right now; and because of this, i dont see myself playing LIVE at all, unless they come out with something that will knock my socks off! (or cheap as hell, "$20 or less")
This news has to be ringing in EA's ears right now; as i believe they dont have much else to go on right now (actually nothing shown); with all the bad press they received from E3 2012.
EA's NBA LIVE series could be put to rest early this year!

I hope EA doesn't cancel or flake out again. You need competition. Unlike the football franchise that EA hold its monopoly on ... the NBA allows open-party rights. How terrible embarrassing for EA to crap out a second time? But at this point, am a little nervous. There should be more information about the game and what direction they're going.

Interesting news, I just saw a video of what the new right-stick controls will be like. Hopefully a controls trailer will be released as usual to showcase everything.

@jwtucker710, i concurr with what your saying; and i am also beside myself with how EA is going about this, when it totally contradicts what they said they would be doing with all EA Sports titles; and what i mean by that is; "their open dairy policy, that Peter Moore installed"; everybody was going to know where projects stood, in the form of development diaries. Where are they for NBA LIVE 13?

I supported Live because, mostly, I hate iso-motion but would also get 2K. Live 10 was the best handling game to me and now that this and thensome is coming to 2K13, smmfh, I have to say it's a WRAP for Live, as much as I hate to....but I don't care. The marriage of analog dribbling with everything else in NBA2K is too much to overcome, it seems. I am FINALLY getting my wish!!! I can't thank Mike Wang enough. I may never look back to playing Live again. NBAK just blew the doors off, imo.

Couldn't agree more Trey. I think the analog dribbling was really the only thing I liked more about Live, but it was such a huge thing that I have been bumming about the lack of news EA has given about the game to this point. Then I see the 2k preview this morning and my first thoughts were "goodbye Live."
