NBA LIVE 13 Cancelled ... or Delayed???

Well, my gut feeling is that NBA LIVE 13 is going tobe delayed for the upcoming 2013 season; and for how long would be the right question. The few things that have jumped out at me as of recent would be the negative feed back from the closed doors showing at E3 2012; the pictures and videos of the game leaked out onto the net (that got hammered by the bball communities); the absences of the NBA LIVE 13 title from EA's yearly fiscal anouncement list (which i will try and post); and finally, the anouncement of Jay-Z producing the sound track for NBA 2K13,(and what he said) below (how do you top that?):

Tiger Woods PGA 13 and NCAA13 are already passed in the Q1 section.

Years past, you would see NBA LIVE on this list; even last year they (EA) didn't even have LIVE on the list, as there was no release for them. As you see, there is no LIVE in the list; so that makes me believe they could be delaying the launch or cancelling the project as a whole.

Let's face it, the LIVE series has to come out swinging to have a chance against 2K; and with their recent news (2K), i think the devs at EA are really thinking about the latter of the two options on their project.

My thought would be to release NBA LIVE 13, but not at the sugg price tag of $60.00,but at a nice price of $30.00 which would be fair to all bball gamers, and actually give us a chance on purchasing both!

thoughts? As of Sept 27 2012, my gut feeling was absolutely correct. EA Sports cancelled NBA LIVE 13.

Its not going to be delayed ea can not afford to lose even more money and i wld be shocked if the cancel just because jayz is working with 2k, soundtracks really lol smh..live is coming out rather its good or bad just cause they need it to come out and we havent heard anything is because they still working on some things and they waiten for 2k to talk about their useless big annoucement which i really hope wasnt the jayz thing lmao.. but we will see..im not God but i will be shocked if live 13 doesnt come out on time. If it was not coming out they would take it off of their website and the last time i checked is still up on the site and date realease says October and on facebook says Oct 2..wish what you want tho, i knw some people want it to fail but we need two basketball games if we going to ever have a complete basketball game.

not sure if you heard but they suspose to be showing nba live on thursday at selected outlets

Live 13 is at the very least delayed:
1. Not available for preorder on EA's Origin
2. Not listed on EA's Season Ticket while all the other 2013 sport titles are
3. Amazon, IGN, Gameinformer, and Gamestop all changed the release date to TBA/unknown
4. No mention of the game at both the July 26 and July 31 EA Investor Meetings

Maybe EA will delay/cancel the 360/PS3 version and release one for the Wii U since 2K13 won't be release on that console.

Anyone that know anything about basketball knows 2k is a better game. Its not without its flaws but overall its the closest thing to a sim we are gonna get

^And if EA doesn't step up and produce a decent game, 2k is just gonna rest on its laurels, tidy up a few things every year and ship out nearly the same carbon copy of the previous year's game, basically pulling a 'Madden'.
