RUFFNREADY's Blog
Not too long ago, i posted a enough is enough, with hard *** Owners, and money hungry greedy players.
Well, a few friends of mine have come up with a solution, as we feel that the agents are killing these deals, and setting us back from seeing basketball.
Our solution as follows in these steps:
*First, cancel all current contracts, and close up the League.
*Repurchase the name NBA (rebranded)
*Start a new league, with willing players to play for million dollar contracts.
*Each team would start with a certain amount of money (Salary cap)
*Have a draft of all potential eligible players local or abroad (overseas) 60 players per team(Cap related)
*Then have each team run training camps and scrimmages, and cuts (30 days), cut rosters down to 13 as of the 29th day.
*Have a 1 week period to gel team and create a shortened schedule for the rest of the season.
We feel this would shake up everybodys happy little living nests. We as fans would see new players in different places; Agents would have to negotiate new contracts under the 50/50 bargaining agreememnt; players will have to actually play to make a roster spot on some team (more competition everywhere)(weed out the bad).
This type of shake-up would bring back lots more fans that have already left the game we love soo much.
cheers
btw, players that don't make the teams would now create the NBADL. Few more bugs to work out, but we believe it would work. Let's face it, players for years now have called the League a business; and "Real" Business Companies do this type of stuff on a regular basis, when taking over, or buying out others companies.
Question to you: What would you do to solve this DRAMA? Add to mine or create your own!
peace
