Knockouts, Miscues, and Bad bargains happened today at the NBA trade deadline.
Posted on February 24, 2011 at 11:54 PM.
After looking at the frenzy of trade(s) that happened today; i feel in favor of a lockout!
teams were discarding players like they never played for the team. It was kinda sickening to watch and hear throughout the day. I write this to you all about one of my other favourite teams: Portland Trailblazers; who were in okay shape coming down the stretch run towards the playoffs; and now happened to get derailed by their management. What are they thinking in their conference rooms while this ridiculous trade went down?

Bobcats' Wallace goes to Trail Blazers:

Blazers get:
• F Gerald Wallace

Bobcats get:
• F Dante Cunningham
• C Joel Przybilla
• C Sean Marks
• 2011 first-round pick (from Hornets) and 2013 first-round pick
• Cash considerations
• Official release

Instant Analysis (Feb. 24): With Brandon Roy returning, LaMarcus Aldridge playing the best basketball of his career, and with other West playoff teams selling off their stars, the Blazers chose to be buyers at the deadline, adding a versatile forward who will help them on both ends of the floor. The Bobcats begin looking to the future, shedding long-term salary and adding picks. -NBA.com

Was it worth losing soo much height and depth to an already injury proof team?
They have no bigs left other than LaMarcus A. and if he gets hurt; they are finished for the year; because they will have no one else to battle any of the bigs left in the western conference. It baffled me on why make a trade like this; with no backup(s) at your PF and C position.

Camby still injured
Roy coming off of injury; but not 100% and still questionable?
Oden done for year (again)

And you still trade away bigs, for a versatile player, that gets injured alot already.... WTF?
The Blazers have no 7 footers with exception Aldridge left on their active roster. (Camby injured, no timetable on return)
This trade made no sense for a team that looked tobe headed in a decent direction with the personel at hand.
As i see it; it was done for the money, and clearing cap room; and that will be the be all and end all of the NBA for year(s) to come.
Game On.
Let's see what you got.
Cheers
