As some of you know I'm a huge fan of Screamo/Post-Hardcore. Here's why

1. Emotion. The biggest thing in music for me no matter what kind is to get some kind of feeling out of it. Screamo is emotion packed.
2. Screaming. Screaming can add a lot to clean vocals. Some say it's not necessary and that it sounds like crap but it adds emotion and character to the song.
3. Clean Vocals - Screamo has some of the best singers in any genre. They have the most range, the best tone, emotion, and everything you would want a singer to have. It's just awesome to hear what some of these guys can do.

Stick to bands that don't sell out.

Ceremony, Outbreak, Terror, Death Before Dishonor, Trash Talk, Xfight EveryoneX, Champion, Have Heart.

That is hardcore.
I like OS so I will keep my opinions to my self big time.
But we knock the crap out of kids that listen to this music at shows.

I used to like the music you listen to.
But I started hanging out with kids that are straight edge.
(drug free, Alcohol free, tobacco free)
I just turned on all that music.
I started throwing down.
Then just since have had a close mind towards music.
Hard to explain. I will write a blog about straight edge if no one knows what it is.

That is some HARD stuff. I'm completly straight edge too. Never had drugs, cigs, or alchohol in my life unless it's for religious reasons. That stuff is nice but it lacks any emotion unless pure anger and hatrid. I'd still pick the screamo and post hardcore over that.

Yeah I hear you some people just think it's to hateful.
But i chose to listen to this music it helps avoid people who do drugs, alcohol or smoke.

I will never sell out Straight Edge it isn't a thing up untill im 21. I am doing it for life.
In my scene though (hardcore scene) my friends and I are known as Hate Edge becuase we listen to nothing but hate music. Not depressing music at all. haha.
But we do get in tons of fights. I just can't stand much singing anymore it hurts the ears plus I don't like the depressing lyrics. Check out Outbreak. Everyone has to like them lol. Or Bracewar.

I don't really run with any scene. I just listen to everything and live life clean and just taking everything as it comes. I don't run with any drunks, addicts, or smokers either. To me drugs is just abusing yourself, cigs are just nasty, and alchohol is okay in moderation but no one can seem to be able to do that.

This stuff is okay but I just like singing better. I don't really like too much growling and screaming stuff and I think that clean vocals with the agresssive screaming together sounds great because of the contrast. Too much of one or the other in the same song ususally sounds like crap.
