What a great day. My Sox come out looking fresh. Offensively they played very well. 10 hits, only manufacturing 2 runs, but good ball all the way around. Defensively they didn't look too great. It still looks like they are shaking off the rust. Youkilis made a bad throw to first that Gonzalez just couldn't scoop and Scutaro did the same. Neither surprises me as Youkilis is a**usting back to third and Scutaro tends to do that often.
Pitching wise I couldn't of asked for a better day from the Starter in Lester or my bullpen. Lester goes 7 strong, and if it wasn't for opening day he could of went 8 possibly the distance. He got into one jam in the 5th but go out of it with a double play and a strike out. Bard was sound, gave a base hit on his first pitch but after that, it was 1 2 3. Papelbon came in in the 9th. A strike out and a ground put him in good position but he decided to throw a 2 strike fastball at Murphy's back. Then an error put 2 on with 2 outs. Papelbon reached deeped and got the ground out he needed.
Overall a great game and good to see my Sox are still undefeated.
Here's the box score.

Spring Training has come and gone. Players have shown up, fit, athletic and ready to go. Some players had there dreams come true making that 25 man ******, others had it crushed and watched their careers hit a snag. No big surprises with my ****** choices. Kept Reyes instead of Okajima but if i know myself, that wont last for too long.
I made one big move by trading Dice K for a SP prospect from the Mets named Matt Harvey. He had a good spring and I like that he could be a trade piece or maybe a part of the future for this Red Sox organization. F Doubront slid into the 5th starter role for now. He showed good stuff in spring but he's on a short leash.
Our depth chart looks like this.
Decided to go with Scutaro over Lowrie to start the year. Scutaro has the reputation but it's his position to lose. If I Lowrie is a better fit I am not going to hesitate to make the switch. That goes for Ortiz and JD Drew too. I think I'll be having JD playing against righty's and Cameron in there vs Lefty's. I like what they both bring to the table.
Welp it's time for Opening day. Let's go Sox. Mission World Series Champ is in session.
