What a Feat!! Before my 7 game homestand, my goal was to win at least 5 of 7 at home but my team went on and won 6 of 7 at home! I'd call that a huge feat early on in the season where we had been struggling in the first month and a half of the season. Wont provide the recaps for EACH game but here are the stats from those games:

Game 1:
Mavs-87
Clippers-58

G.Green-28 Mins, 15 Pts, 5 Rebs, 3 ASt

A.Wright-29 Mins, 12 Pts
E.Dampier-25 Mins, 7 Pts, 7 Reb
J.Kidd-26 Mins, 5 Pts, 3 Reb, 8 Ast

Game 4:
Mavs-75
Spurs-77

This game was an instant classic as I was down by as much as 23 heading into halftime thanks to the Spurs stiffling defense. This game came down to the final shot as I tried to hit Nowitzki in the post to tie it up but he was quickly double teamed by Bowen and Ginobili. So I kicked it out to a wide open Antoine Wright who hit the 3 at the buzzer. HOWEVER after review, the Officials seen that the ball had not left Wright's hand as time expired so the 3 didn't count. How do you like that?

D.Nowitzki-37 Mins, 36 Pts, 18 Reb, 16-25
G.Green-19 Mins, 11 Pts, 5-11
J.Howard-34 Mins, 10 Pts, 4 Reb, 4-13
D.Diop-21 Mins, 8 Pts, 9 Reb
J.Kidd-27 Mins, 0 Pts, 4 Reb, 9 Ast

Spurs
M.Ginobili-33 Mins, 17 Pts, 7 Reb, 6 Ast, 7-16
M.Finley-21 Mins, 14 Pts, 3 Reb, 4 Ast, 6-12
B.Bowen-30 Mins, 12 Pts, 4 Reb, 4 Ast, 5-12

D.Nowitzki-33 Mins, 14 Pts, 11 Reb
A.Wright-32 Mins, 12 Pts, 3 Ast
J.Kidd-29 Mins, 11 Pts, 7 Reb, 10 Ast
J.Terry-23 Mins, 11 Pts, 2 Reb, 2 Ast

Now remember in my last blog I told you I had offers for Jerry Stackhouse and an offer for Erick Dampier? Well, I was finally able to move both of them, but as part of a 3 team trade between the Mavs, Knicks, and Pacers. Here are the trade details as to who went where:

Dallas receives:
From NY-SF Quentin Richardson(1 yr, $8.83 Mil left)
From IND-SG Marquis Daniels(1 yr, $6.86 Mil left)

Indiana receives:
From DAL-C Erick Dampier(3 yrs, $32.7 Mil left)
From NY-PG Mardy Collins(1 yr, $998K left)

New York receives:
From IND-PG Travis Diener(1 yr, $1.62 Mil left)
From DAL-SF Jerry Stackhouse(1 yr, $7.00 Mil left)

My main goal in this deal was to move Dampier and his huge contract, which I succeeded in doing and moving Stackhouse as his minutes in the rotation were decreasing, so I moved him to a team where he could still get minutes, and NY gets his $7.00 Mil contract off the books this year, so it was a good deal for all parties involved.

Now, after spending quite a while at home, I now go on the road for 6 of 7 which include stops in Toronto, New Jersey, Washington, Portland, Utah, and LA to visit the Clippers, with one home game against the Grizzlies.

In my next blog update, I'll post recaps from a few of my games, including the debut of Quinton Richardson and the return of Marquis Daniels

Ouch...Indy got a raw deal...They get Dampier's huge contract when they already have two centers more serviceable than him.

Now they essentially have $20plus mil wrapped up into two centers (Dampier and Rasho) when Jeff Foster is fine as a back-up, and they lose Marquis Daniels - a nice combo guard.

You should've sent them a 1st rounder - maybe 2, and/or a 2010 2nd rounder too to give them some kind of incentive to take that deal, AND I would've included Jamaal Tinsley in any 3-team deal you made including Indy since he should be moved anyways - given he hasn't played yet this season, and now you've given Indy Mardy Collins too.

So they essentially have 4 PGs - Ford, Tinsley, Jack, and now Collins, are even further into cap hell as a young team, and have a logjam at center too.

Pack...you should be ashamed of yourself.

LOL yea man, I'm not exactly Rod Thorn or Ernie Grunsfeld lol. Honestly, I wasn't even thinking about draft picks or Tinsley at the time. My main goal was to do two things: Move 2 Unhappy players and try to clear as much cap space as I could since I was in serious cap hell.

Guess I'll start becoming your Virtual GM Apprentence because you've made some good decisions when it comes to helping your team fill it's appropriate needs.
