I recently started a 76ers association, and I had to do a few things at the start to make the season more realistic.
1. I bumped Jeremy Lin up to 74ovr, and Lavoy Allen up to 66.
2.I took off Chris Paul's player option (as did in real life)
3.I added Jonas V. to the Raptors and Donatas M. to the Rockets.
After that, I started the season off by getting my 2 2nd rounds from Grizzlies/Hornets(trade override involving only draft picks, quite complex but in the end it ended up the same as in real life.). Also, I forced teams to give away their draft picks if they dont own them in real life. For example, I made the Mavericks give their 1st to the Lakers.(trade override: Mavs 1st/Mavs 2nd for Lakers 2nd then Lakers 2nd for Mavs 2nd)
Then, I amnestied Andreis Nocioni. I know,I know- his contract really isnt going to hurt the team because of the declineable team option- but thats not why.I amnestied him because he's taking minutes away from guys such as Meeks,Thad,Allen,etc.

Louis Williams:20 min sixth man
Thaddeus Young:20min sixth man
Lavoy Allen:10min prospect
Nikola Vuceivic:5min prospect
Brackins:2min prospect
Jodie Meeks:5min prospect
Tonie Battie:0min bench warmer (he'll still play around 3-4 mpg, though).

A little extra info, I'm playing 12 min quarters, hall of fame diffuculty with Cripwalk sliders. Also, I'm playing 2 games of every week in the season. CPU trades are turned off, but time from time I make CPU trades such as I traded Ramon Sessions to the Lakers for the Mavericks 1st round pick (they absorbed his cap with the Odom "trade exception").

After 3 development drills, the season is ready to undergo! WOOOOO!
