The State of WA Football

Pathetic. Ugly. Underachievers. Train-Wreck.

All over the state, our football teams are more than struggling. The Seahawks are a woeful 2-7, and sadly that is the highest winning percentage in the state. WSU and UW are a combined 1-18, the latter team without a win. All these teams had expectations this year, and all are involved in a coaching transition. Holmgren leaving wasn't supposed to cause this much distraction was it? First our recievers drop like flies, now Mike doesn't know how to call a game? And Tyrone...Oh Tyrone. You have been here longer than needed, yet somehow people still support you. You have been a complete and total failure as a Husky. Your recruiting has been garbage, you haven't developed players, and you can't call a game. Our team is based around one player, and he is hurt. None of the other recruits have ammounted to anything, and we are playing with predominantly Freshmen and Sophomores. WSU has a first year coach, so some of their play can be excused, but they still lost 69-0 to USC.

UW=WSU = 0 USC = 125 Just sad.

So, what do we have to look forward to? Well, the Huskies have the opportunity to go out and sign a high quality coach who can teach Locker to be a QB, not an athlete. The Cougers can't really get any worse, and I believe they have one of the worst defenses in the COUNTRY. The Seahawks will have Mora at the reins next year, and hopefully we will get our QB/Reciever situation worked out. This years draft could be pivitol in how the next few years play out. With a bad Draft/Free Agency the Seahawks could become cellar-dwellars all over again. On the other hand, if successful this offseason, the Hawks could be Super Bowl contenders once again.

Go Hawks and Huskies!
(Can't wait until COLLEGE basketball, UW, WSU, Gonzaga)

I clearly second this motion> I just moved to Seattle this summer, from being a Chicago native and Buckeye alum. Never in my life have I seen such terrible football. I now even work for UW and nobody out here seems that upset about what is going on. Thankfully I don't have the woeful Sonics to look at. If it wasn't for satellite I would be forced to watch these teams that call themselves elite I mean isn't this supposed to be the year the Seahawks win it all.
Anyway go Bears and Bucks
