J.J. REDICK WAIVED FROM THE KNICKS

When J.J. Redick came to practice this afternoon, Pappy Knuckles gave him the news that he had been waived from the team. Although rumors of this being possible had been spreading recently, Redick was shocked that he was no longer a Knick. Since no decent offers were made for his services, Knuckles decided that it was best to cut their losses and let him go.

J.J. Redick's poor season cost him a job.

"I should've known better than to ever put a Duke player on my team. I drafted J.J. because I thought he would be our 3 point assassin off the bench. The only thing he did was stink up the court and hurt us on defense." - Pappy Knuckles

The Knicks are proving that a spot on their roster isn't guaranteed to anyone. Ever since Donnie Walsh left the organization, Knuckles has been a firm decision maker on the sideline and in the general manager seat. A few players said goodbye to J.J. as he left the arena, but it was obvious that he wouldn't be missed.
