FERNANDEZ LEADS KNICKS TO VICTORY IN DEBUT

The Knicks went into the 3rd quarter with a small lead and then went on a 13-0 run. This point burst kept the momentum on their side and helped them beat the Wizards 82-69. The Knicks shot 60% from the floor and only turned the ball over once with 22 assists. New York played one of their better all around performances of the season. The Knicks break their four game losing streak and move to 6-7.

Rudy Fernandez delivers in his first game

Rudy Fernandez lead the team with 16 points and 6 assists. He also shot 6 of 6 from the free through line. Foul shots have been a problem for the Knicks all season long, but they went 11 of 12 from the charity stripe on this night. "I'm glad I was able to have a good game. This is a great team and I'm happy to be here," said Fernandez.

Chris Quinn of the Wizards had an exceptional night. He scored 26 points and fought hard to keep his team in the game. OJ Mayo and Peja Stojakovic each had 14 points.
