Despite Nate Robinson's strong play the Nuggets just could not pull away from the Rockets. James Harden came to play today scoring 33 points. Although Harden struggled from the 3 point line the Rockets managed to shoot 35% from 3. I spoke with Harden after the win he had this to say, "This was a great team win. I couldn't have done what I did tonight without the help of my teammates. J had my back helping me score so it wasn't all on my shoulders. I didn't shoot as well as I had liked but we got the win and I shot good enough to win the game. We are happy we got this one. Give a lot of credit to Denver they tried to fight back they had a lot of heart. They are always tough competition." Without Dwight Howard tonight the Rockets improve to 2-3. Denver is unhappy with the play and Nate Robinson hammered his team after their loss tonight. "I can't keep doing everything. This was a very frustrating game that we could have won. I didn't play the best but I thought I played well enough to at least give us a chance. I needed a little help from my teammates. I know I had alot of turnovers but I thought I passed the ball quite well and settled down in the 2nd half to give us a chance. Frustrating loss and the coaches will hear about it." J.J. Hickson played just 6 minutes tonight but was quite productive in the short minutes getting 7 points and going perfect from the FT line.

Denver fall to 1-3. A strong 3rd quarter helped the Rockets improve to 2-3

The Chicago Bulls used the 4th quarter to pick up the 113-107 victory. Derrick Rose scored 37 points tonight including 12 made free throws. Carlos Boozer also added 19 points and 13 rebounds. Luol Deng notched 16 points. I spoke to Derrick Rose after the game. "I felt good in tonights game. I felt like I couldnt miss besides the what 4 turnovers?, I felt as good as it could get. I wanted to come into this game with the thought every game from this point on decides our playoff spot and how well we play as a team. I liked the way we attacked the basket, getting them into foul trouble early and most importantly knocking down our free throws. tonight was only just the begging." The Utah Jazz shot the ball pretty well as Al Jefferson lead them in scoring with 21 points and added 7 rebounds. Randy Foye had 17 and Mo Williams dropped 15. I was able to catch up with Al Jefferson before he went to the locker room."We did not play defense very well. I am dissapointed it took me so late to start getting baskets. I should have been getting the boards and finding a way to get open. This was not our best defensive game." With that loss the Utah Jazz still hold the 7th seed in the West as of now and the Chicago Bulls with that win are now the 5th seed in the East.

The Brooklyn Nets rallied in the 4th and outscored the Dallas Mavericks 31-14 to pick up the 108-86 win. This game was an interesting one through 3 quarters until Joe Johnson and Deron Williams took over in the 4th. Joe Johnson scored a season high 31 and Deron Williams scored 19 and Marshon Brooks added 22. I spoke with Joe Johnson after the game. "We wanted this win so we could keep this momentum going and make a strong run for the 1st seed. I felt like we played pretty poor in the 1st 3 quarters you know not taking good shots forcing too many passes, but in the 4th I felt like we made a statement. Despite the early fouls we got to kind of help them hang around we answered really well by playing I think the best defense of the season in the 4th. So all around this was a pretty good win." The Brooklyn Nets picked up their third win in a row. The Dallas Mavericks played very poor in this game shooting 39 percent for the game. I spoke to Dirk Nowitzki briefly. "We did not shoot the ball well at all and that's really why we lost. We have to look for better shots and we weren't able to do it so we ended up losing the ball game. They played well in the 4th and we had no answer for them." Dirk Finished the game with 15 points on 7 of 13 shooting. He missed his last 4 shots in the 4th quarter. Darren Collison lead the Mavericks with 27 points.

The Minnesota Timberwolves took control early as they built a 66-41 lead at halftime and they never let up. They held a 30 30 point lead in the third quarter. They were helped by Brandon Roy's 22 points and Derrick Williams also notched 21. They were almost perfect at the Free Throw line knocking down 28 of 29. Minnesota get their first win on the road for the season and improve to 4-9. The Celtics played sloppy and awful. they shot the ball at about their season percentage but the shot selection wasn't at its best. They tried to hit to many jump shots instead of aggressively going to the basket. They only had 14 Free Throw attempts the whole game. Injured Avery Bradley lead the team with 18 points and Marcus Thornton had 17. Celtics drop to 5-8 for the season and Paul Pierce struggled as he shot 1-7 in 17 minutes and had just 2 points. Timberwolves get a commanding win.

This was a statement by the Denver Nuggets. They had 1 thing on their mind.... win. They have finally ended their home losing streak. The Suns have lost 2 in a row on the road. I spoke with Danilo Gallinari after the game "We needed this win to show teams that we are one of the best teams in the league and people need to watch out for us. If we play like this day in and day out we could win it all but right now the focus of our team is trying to stay healthy and win. It feels great knowing Ty is back in the starting lineup. He has given us a huge boost and we remain focused when he is on the floor. Last time we were on National TV I didn't play so well I shot 4-15 and I wasn't happy about that and to shoot as well as I did tonight was a huge boost in my confidence." The suns meanwhile have not had the best of night. They looked like they were going to take a huge lead in the third quarter but it just didn't pan out that way as Denver scored 40 points in the third. I spoke with Micheal Beasley about that. "We can afford to give up 40 points in 1 quarter and let the lead slip away. What did we have a 62-61 lead after Goran hit a big three to put us on top? We needed to ride that momentum, but after the timeout Denver just got hot. I don't know what went wrong I know I didnt shoot to well and I gave the ball up a lot so we just need to go watch film and get ready for the next game." The Suns now have lost 2 road games in a row.
