New dog?

It’s that time of year again. The weather is getting warmer; the days longer. It's baseball season.
By now, I am sure most of you have picked up your favorite baseball game and are thinking about starting your franchise. I will be setting up my Franchise in The Show. So now, how do you prepare for it?
This year, for me anyway, will be no different. First I choose my hometown team, the Cleveland Indians. ... Read More

You could call my wife a gamer. Just not a sports gamer -- hey, I tried.
The other night I popped in MLB 11: The Show and asked my wife what team she wanted to be. She said with much unease, “none.” So I chose the Indians for her. I asked her who she wanted to pitch with, and to my surprise she said Justin Masterson. I'm sure the only reason she knows him was because of how I forced her to watch every Cleveland game with me last year.
To keep things even, I chose ... Read More

Can a videogame actually be broken? Well, figuratively of course. We see this term thrown around a lot these days. What makes a videogame broken? Is it subjective or objective? Some people claim a game is broken when a certain aspect of that game doesn’t work properly. For example, zone defense in a football game. If this aspect of the game does not work correctly then I guess it’s conceivable the game is broken. If the gamer cannot ... Read More

Before you have a chance to wonder how I can make the claims I am about to make. Let me say that I have played almost every football game released since Caleco Vision Football.
First I want to start this article on football gaming with baseball gaming.
Lets think about it for a minute. What technically makes up a baseball video game? Its actually two games in one. The pitcher batter interface and fielding. Lets start with the pitcher batter interface. What is it? ... Read More

We finally decided on a new dog. She is a Toy fox terrier/greyhound mix. We rescued her from the Humane Society my wife works at. She is absolutely beautiful, and sweet as hell. She looks a lot like our dog Charlie. I will try to get up pics soon. By the way her name is Zeeva.
I keep getting these nagging thoughts in my head. Mostly dealing with where I am in my life right now. Lets face it. I am certainly not where I saw myself to be 10 years ago when I graduated high school. Don't get me wrong, I am happy. I have a great wife, a wonderful step-daughter, and two awesome dogs. I live in a descent apartment, have nice things, and keep my nose clean. I just wish I would have got my degree in Broadcast Journalism like I wanted to. Instead I got a degree in Psychology. ... What the hell is up with pro athletes lately? Lebron calling Sir Charles Stupid. Constantly feeding the 2010 New York machine. Just this past week, Braylon Edwards and Willie McGinist both said they don't care about the fans, or what we think.
Where the hell did team loyalty go? I know its about money, but come on. Some guys have to still have a shred of heart left in them. At least some pride in your team, and teams city would be nice to see every once in a while.

Well some of you might know my dog Charlie. He is in my pic and is the one who had surgery a few months back and almost didn't make it.
We had another dog but he was just a foster, as my wife works at the humane society. He is gone now and I think Charlie needs a friend. He seems pretty down lately.
I would love to have a Pit Bull, but due to city regulations we can't have one, which is ridiculous by the way. So now we have to decide what we want. I am thinking ... Read More
