Summary
Comming to the end of the month the Red Sox are hot and playing good ball. Even with some of the bats not quite firing on all cylinders the Sox are still finding ways to produce runs. With only 2 games left in the opening month of the season the Sox sit first in the division at 13-8 and a 2 game lead over Toronto. Game 3 of 4 against the White Sox started out rough, going down 2-0 in the 3rd but quickly tied up in the 4th with a 2 run bomb from the youngster from Cuba, Cespedes. from then on out it was a pitchers duel, which resulted in extra innings. The Sox got 2 men on, 2nd and 3rd with 1 out in the top of the 10th and failed to produce a run. With 2 out in the bottom of the 10th Chris Perez walks a batter then gives up a base hit and then the game winner by Jamey Carroll to give the W to the Chicago White Sox.

Summary
Going into the series with Minnesota The Sox are riding high on energy and having a great start to the season. After taking the first 2 series of the season the Sox swept the Rays in a 4 game series, split 1-1 with Texas, and then lost the series 1-2 to the Yankees. After losing game 1 in a nail bitter to the Twins the SOx went into game 2 with no intention of letting it be close again. With Greinke on the mound the Sox looked to stay strong and put up some runs, and that they did. Scoring early taking a 3-1 lead after 3, Greinke never looked back striking out 11 through 7 and 2/3 to get his 3rd W of the young season.

Summary
After taking both series against the Tigers and Jays the Red Sox open up at home with a 4 game series vs the Rays. Making his second start of the season Rubby De La Rosa had a very strong and convincing win going 6 and 1/3 and only allowing 1 ER while striking out 10. While Hosmers bat hasnt woke up yet, just hitting .090 in the 3 hole, other bats are stepping up and getting people home when the Sox need runs most.

Summary
Going into the Second game of the Jays series after going 2-1 in Detroit and winning game 1 of the 3 game series the Red Sox riding high on confidence quickly got shut down. Highlighted by a brilliant start by Rich Harden going for a complete game 1 hitter with 7 K's. The Sox offence struggled as Harden hit the black all game long and was constantly ahead in the count. Sox move to 3-2 on the season.

Summary

With Opening day upon us, the Red Sox look to erase the bitter memory of the collapse of 2011. They open the season against the Detroit Tigers and a very strong ace, Jared Weaver. The Sox got off to an early start and managed to knock out Weaver early in the game and just relied on Strasburg and the pitching staff to finish the game, and that they did. Red Sox open up with a win at Comerica Park and go to 1-0.

- Starting out I want to try to emphasize on pitching and get that big bat in the middle of the lineup. I'm looking to go young and try to compete in the first year or two and be in the World Series talk by year 3.

- Only posting first 25 Rounds of draft - Drafting by recommended

Starting out I get the 23rd overall pick which means a quick turnaround, and should be able to land a #1 and #2 starter very easily.

Recap
Overall I feel like I have a solid young team. I definitely reached on a few of the early-middle rounders. My rotation should be quite solid. Picked up a few oldies to solidify the bullpen. Also picked up quite a few A and B prospects that can fill in when needed hopefully and take some of the oldies spots after the seasons over. Hopefully I can stay competitive but lacking a lot of bat power not sure if I can produce enough runs to win some games. One thing of concern is the amount of 1 year contracts, with so many young prospects I hope I can get some of them in long term deals and hope my cap doesn't become a problem.

Opening Day Lineup/Rotation
