Although it was still too early to see the fruits of my recruiting efforts, my defense was upgraded just enough to get some stops and it translated to wins. I went 9-3 and lost the Fight Hunger Bowl to Cincinnati, 52-42. We broke many more offensive records, and my OC was hired to be the head coach of his alma mater, Iowa State. I was then offered a contract from UNLV that I couldn�t refuse. Georgia State wasn�t willing to match the offer, so I headed west.

I�m taking over a Rebels team that went 2-10 the previous year, and is similarly rated to the current Georgia State lineup. So it�s not an upgrade per se, but I have ties to Vegas and this felt like a great fit.

I�m still not impressed with my 4-2-5 efforts, and UNLV doesn�t have good strong safety type players anyway, so I�ve switched to the 4-3. The Under front is good against the run, and the overall alignments do well in man and zone coverage.

So with this, I�m recruiting pass rushing defensive ends and fast linebackers. So as you can see, my main concern for this team is to even out my squad.
