Georgia State Franchise Year 1 - Week 13

We lost to Arkansas State 28-14. I�ll start with the offense because that was our worst showing to date. I tried to diversify the offense to include more passing in an attempt to open up the running game. But this team just can�t do it. Gerald Howse was the bright spot, running for 200 yards. But the lack of run plays I had at my disposal constantly left us high and dry at the end of most drives. I have to stick with more run-heavy style. Must go back to Oregon playbook or Spread Option. But don�t get me wrong, I�m enjoying finally struggling when I�m supposed to be for a change.

As far as defense is concerned, I�ve given this side of the ball a pass for too long. Yes, the personnel is crap, but I can put more effort into this. I�m going to evaluate the roster on a position-by-position basis and determine where to make the switch. I�m currently in a 3-4 defense, but if I find that my team is better suited for another scheme, I�ll make the switch.

Next up for us is South Alabama. This looks to be the most winnable game I�ve had since the FCS teams. If we don�t win, that puts us at 3-9 and in jeopardy for our jobs.
