Whether it was because NCAA 14 was just too easy or I had just gotten too good at it, I finally had to say enough is enough. I was reading Deegeezy’s dynasty report from NCAA 11 and really envied the way he could keep a program going for 20 years with the same amount of excitement and challenge. Then I remembered I still had a copy of NCAA 12 and it’s basically just an updated version of ‘11. So I started over once again with this new/old game and I’m so glad I did it.

First of all, defense is overpowered in ‘12 and that’s really all I wanted. But the bonus that hooked me was that I can’t take a low rated team and go undefeated. In fact, I’m finally getting blown out by premiere teams like it’s supposed to be and recruiting is truly meaningful.

So I started a dynasty as an OC for maybe the worst rated team, San Jose State. I practiced the game and got a scheme down that made me feel really good about my offense. But being so lowly rated, my QB missed wide open targets, my receivers dropped routine catches, and my OL was dominated. Season 1 results: 3-9. This is exactly what I was looking for and will make recruiting and gameplanning so much fun.
