I was sorry to see that gem strong safety, Sean Allen, decided to commit to Wisconsin. I should've known it was a pipe dream. But the very next week, our third and only hope now for strong safety, Avery Edwards, committed to us after his visit to our school. I'm very relieved to know that we are making an upgrade in that area and it will improve our run defense.

In other good news for recruiting, we have received commits from DE Paul O'Donnell, FS Taylor Douglas, and quarterback Justin Wilson. It's great to get all of these guys, but O'Donnell is especially good news as we need to upgrade this D line as fast as possible.

Speaking of defensive line, we're still in a battle with other schools for DTs Anthony Thorne and Ernest Nelson. 3-star recruit Thorne visits this coming week against San Diego State, and the 4-star man, Nelson, has already visited. I'm hoping I can get Thorne to commit soon so that I can spend most of the offseason on Nelson.
