San Marcos, TX -- In another display of offensive domination, the Bobcats got their seventh win of the season by defeating the South Alabama Jaguars. Texas State pulled away early as quarterback Jordan Moore found wide receiver Brandon Smith in the end zone twice in their first two possessions. From there, it would not stop as Bradley Miller scored one of his two touchdowns on the game.
"It's good when you can pass the ball around to many different targets", said Bobcats head coach Dennis Franchione. "It keeps the defense from keying on one good player and shutting you down completely. Instead, the defense breaks down and you have the success we've seen all season."
Terrance Franks added two more touchdowns and is on pace to break the school's rushing touchdown record well before the end of the season.
This win makes Texas State bowl eligible.
