CAJUNS GIVE TX STATE FIRST LOSS OF SEASON

Lafayette, LA -- The Bobcats may put up points, but they can't stop every other offense from doing the same. The Ragin' Cajuns of ULL put and end to Texas State's winning streak by giving them a dose of their own medicine, dropping 41 on them.

The Bobcats stopped ULL's opening drive of the game, but squandered their first possession. On the first play of TX St.'s opening drive, quarterback Jordan Moore threw an interception which would result in 7 points by the Cajuns' offense. From there, it was a back and forth which the Bobcats had experienced before, but Moore's second interception and ULL's persistence to score was too much for Texas State to overcome.

There seemed to be some friction between Bobcats head coach Dennis Franchione and offensive coordinator Sean O'Bradovich, as a critical 4th and 2 situation left O'Bradovich overruled by Franchione to settle for a field goal.

"It was just a typical bumping of heads in the heat of the moment", said Franchione when asked about the incident. O'Bradovich echoed Franchione's sentiments when he was asked the same question.

Regardless, it was Texas State's defense who came up short on this one. We knew the Bobcats weren't invincible, but it's still a kick in the gut to an otherwise exciting season.
