Ducks Embarrass Cougars in Pullman Stuck

PULLMAN, WA - A chilly October day, as the #2 Oregon Ducks came to town to take on a struggling Washington State team. The Ducks took control early on, and showed exactly why they are #2. QB Nate Costa of Oregon earned player of the game, throwing only 5 incompletions and totaling 3 TDs through the air.
At halftime, the score 31-10, fans began leaving Martin Stadium out of pure embarrassment. One fan was not too thrilled at the poor performance of WSU, "I can't say I'm surprised, but that doesn't make up for the utter shame this team has shown the past few weeks. This isn't Washington State football, it's just sad."
Oregon walked out with an easy 41-13 victory, where WSU's only high note was Isiah Barton, yet again. Barton made a huge TD play in the second quarter that only temporarily put a band-aid on the woes of the Cougars.
Coach O'Hern has little time to try and turn this team around, with fans and alumni asking for more.
"I'm doing everything in my power to change this team, but you have to realize this can't happen over the course of a few weeks. This team is still suffering from the previous coach's ways. I know this team is capable of more, we just need time to bring that out."
Washington State falls to 1-4(0-2 in Pac-10 play) heading into next weeks home game against Arizona(2-3).
