NBA 2K13- 3 ways to always beat your opponent

NBA 2K13 is the most realistic simulation basketball game ever. You will see new things every time your play it. That being said, the game is very similar to real life basketball, making it easier for the basketball fan to beat opponents with real life basketball thinking. Here are 3 ways you can take advantage against your opponent.

1. Defence - There is an old saying, defence wins championships. That statement is true in real life, and it is most definitely true in NBA 2K13. The ability to force turnovers and bad shots this year can change the game for you. If you are playing 12 minutes simulation style, your mindset should be your opponent isn't getting to 100 points. Turnovers lead to fast breaks, and with the fast breaks being much better this year, you can expect a lot of points of turnovers. Steal the ball with players who are have the signature skill of being a pick pocketer, use it at full force. Bad shots will result from you staying in front of your man, making your opponent frustrated knowing he can't do anything against you.

2. Pick and Roll - This is the most used aspect of basketball. It is used on almost every possession in real life. Do the same. Depending on the player, roll or pop and have your main focus being getting your point guard to the rim for a basket. With that mindset you will try getting to the rim first, and then see your options. It can lead to easy dunks, fouls, 3 pointers, it opens the play up for 1 thing to happen. BUCKETS.

3. Play your team's tempo - It might seem strange because it's a video game and you would think they wouldn't get this aspect down, but playing to your team's tempo will help you win games easier and in style. A team like the Nuggets can go up and down on the court fast, so your job is to find the outlet pass to the right person for the fast break. The celtics have great plays and have great players for a half court game style. Use it and you will get an opening. Playing out of tempo is like getting Kwame Brown to grab a rebound, it doesn't work. Play your team's style and you will have fun winning.

With that being said, use the pick and roll, play good defence, and use your teams tempo. Those 3 keys will get you your win every game.
