NBA 2K16 Debate: Is Head To Head Competition Dead?
Posted on December 3, 2015 at 04:50 PM.
Is Head To Head Competition Dead? I understand MyPark and Myteam is the new direction nowadays. But for My Old 2k players who used to love playing that classic 5 on 5 vs your people at your house or online. Is it dead?

In a way, yes. My biggest grip is not being able to play people that I want, meaning, like minded players. Playing random people is not fun. You have no idea who you are matched up against and that is not a good thing to me. I do not want to play a 12 year old who does not take the game serious but that is usually how it is. Play Now, is a great mode but unsportsmanlike gamers ruin it for us all.

I would love to see the online set up NBA 2K11 had. I believe it was NBA 2k11. If I am wrong let me know, but 2K11 let you play in different difficulty lobbies. Thats what I want back. I dont like playing on Pro difficulty. I want the option to play a ranked match on HOF.

Thats all I got. Good blog

I mean it must be sort of dead because we end up playing players out of our division. For example I was in the Euro League and I played a person that used a classic team meaning he was in the NBA tier. Now I don't once you make it to the NBA tier and you fall back, if you are able to still use the classic teams.

I love play now system, but it is a headache not to be able to play like minded players. Hate constantly running into the what I call "try-too cheesers" because for the most part I can stop it.

Yes, the lobbies were great! I think it was before 2K11 and it was 2K10 but yes I remeber that! Those were great! Lobbies in general need to be brought back for all sports games. I understand why they took it. So the leaderboard can't be manipulated but I am sure most gamers would want lobbies in all their sports games.

Currently in NBA a tier standing at 5-1. My loss was actually a very enjoyable game. The user played like I did and was a good opponent. Currently 47-26 overall.

I only play online quick match so it is not dead to me, but I understand where a lot of people are coming from when they want the lobbies to return. I don't really play the other modes,It's just not fun to me. Playing with the current rosters/updated is what I like to do.

So basically they need to bring back lobbies?

All the cheese is stoppable this year it's just such a bore that so many people sit back and play off ball defense

BlackBrueceWayne and others I def agree we do need lobbies back. We used to have it for 2k8, 2k11 also. For 2k11 it was unrank lobbies but even that is better then how it is now.. I Hope they bring lobbies back one day and also the VIP System if some of yall remember that feature.

I actually think they should bring the whole crib back, they've bought pieces with the mycourt but I think that would be cool to see, if anything the one feature they're missing is the VIPs like you said... That thing was scary accurate

I really enjoy online Sports period and I really hope we will see a return to more choices in gaming. Online Gaming in sports suffers because people want to play with like minded players,(Doesn't Matter to me) that plays for fun, not just cheap tactics.
