You guys will have to pardon me. I usually do 2 or 3 games to an update. This is a one game special update. I pitched the best game of my RTTS, or any other MLB 09 or 08 for that matter game. The only game that tops this is my No-Hitter in MVP 05 way back when.

So if you are a rookie pitcher in the National League East and you are struggling to keep the ball in the park, have an AM radio station for an ERA (8.10) and your team is 2.5 games out of first and you play in the same division as the Mets and The Phillies what is the one thing that can pull you out of your funk, while keeping you in the Majors? THE NATIONAL LEAGUE WEST!!!! Yes I want to thank the Colorado Rockies for visiting the nations capital and leaving me feeling GREAT about my pitcher. He even had a confident look in the pre-game

The kids got some moxy

See he had the look in his eyes today. Pitching in front of the home team agianst a weaker line-up was the the remedy for early struggles. I pitched my *** off and got some help from my defense. How good was the game. This good:

Player of the game

A complete game shut-out! That's the way to bounce back from a rocky start (pun intended). Not only that but I only faced 2 batters over the minimum. Thanks double play ball. I was really excited about this game. It also brought my ERA to a more Nationalesqe 4.26. I also was able to make the front page of the News.

Cover Boy

So like the article says. That was good for my first win as a Major League pitcher. I was able to sit All-Star Todd Helton down twice on strikes! So while I'm all excited and very happy I looked at the schedule and I see that I have to face the Phillies next and to make that even better I get to go up against Cole Hamels and his ridiculous 2-1 record with a 1.13 ERA. This is gonna take a heroic effort if I'm going to win that game. I just hope that I can keep the game close and we can beat them when they go to the pen.

Thanks. That game was fun. I was a little surprised I gave up a hit in the 9th and my manager (Lou Piniella) let me finish the game. I was nice to get the complete game and the win. Thanks for following and commenting.

Oh there is nothing better than seeing your name in the paper is it ??? There a press hog on my team that gets in there every game if I go 3-5 he goes 4-5... its sad... when I got player of the game I got a small mention and I was hi fiving my kids...LOL
