MLB 09 "Road to the Show" Summer on the AAA part 2

So first my apologies. This update will only have two games not the usual 4. I had take an week off of work for the release of MLB 09. I do the same thing for NCAA usually. Well I'm back at work and that means I have a little less time during the day. But enough of that. Here is what you came for.

My 15th start was the worst start ever. How bad you ask. This bad. Lead off batter hits a one hopper to the short stop. He fields and promptly fires the ball over the first basemen's head. Nothing unusually as I'm accustom to my SS doing that. Here is what I wasn't prepared for. My first basemen decided he is gonna be a hero and try to get the lead off man on his way to second. Now this guy is at least 2/3 of the way to second when he gets to the ball. But undeterred he fires it to.....the left fielder! Yep over the second basemen's head into left field. The runner advances to third base. So here I am with a runner on 3rd no outs in the first inning. I was fuming at this point. But I did what any professional would do beared down and focused on the next batter. Got him to roll over on a down and away slurve to the second 1 out and 1 unearned run in. 1-0. That is all the Knight would get off me. 1 unearned run in 6 innings of work. They would get 4 hits and I would strike out 3. Knowing how they let me down did my team rally around my strong bounce back effort? Nope, I gave up 4 hits in 6 innings, the would muster 3 hits in 9. I take the loss.

They did WHAT?!?!?!

Well, you can't dwell and the beauty of baseball is that as a pitcher you will face 900 batters, as a hitter you will get 500 at bats. Simply put the game always gives you an opportunity to redeem yourself. Redemption is a beautiful thing. My next start was just as fine as the previous difference being? I got run support and my defense backed me up. I was able to again allow only 1 run this one earned and the Sky Chiefs got those sticks going. End result my second dominating performance. I was able to record one out in the 8th and thought that I was gonna go the distance, but skip had other ideas and took me out after a 6 pitch walk. I talked to him after the game and he said next time I might get a little more slack. Especially since the score was 5-1. But I got the win and dropped the ERA under 3!

AAA Dominance

Record isn't anything special but I've battled back from a terrible beginning of the summer with some real nice outings. Things are looking up for young Mr. Robinson. 6-6 with a 2.90 ERA.

Again sorry for only two game this time, I will get back on it and have more tomorrow.

LOL, great video. Those are errors that would surely piss off any pitcher.

Yeah, tell me about it. My GF was talking not really paying attention the the game and I yelled out "You've got to be F***ing kidding me with this s***." She though I was talking about the conversation she was having. All in all I'm still happy with the way I pitched.

Yeah, it was. Things have been looking up though. I changed my delivery, and have been tweaked my approach to hitters and so far not to bad. More to come tomorrow.
