Well I've bounced back from the dejection of not getting an invite to spring training with the big club, but I used that as motivation to get to the show this year. My first start was a productive one. Went 7 strong innings giving up 7 hits and 1 earned run. Felt good to get the first win of the season in my first start and it was a quality start. So far so good. Next start will be against those pesky Iron Pigs.

Oh and I did get a very nice surprise in when I saw who was in CF shagging fly balls. Ken Griffey Jr! At 39 years old he is in AAA ridding the bus. Now I know that this wouldn't happen and his defense is probably half of what it was, it's still nice to have a gold glove HOF player backing you up. Hopefully he will add some pop to a line up that lost Willy Mo Pena and a few others.

2nd start was Saturday against the Iron Pigs. I got touched up in the 2nd inning giving up an opposite field HR on a high fastball when I missed my spot. Ouch!

Not only did I give up a HR, but with 2 outs and a runner in scoring position I though that I had notched my first hit and RBI of the season on a little blooper into right. It was not to be as the RF made a great play to deny me.

It was a nice game for me. I was able to notch my second win of the season. I will say that I may talk to skip about pulling me early. I gave up a single with 2 outs in the 7th and felt pretty good but he pulled me anyways. I think that I could've made it out of the 7th. I was player of the game so I really can't complain.

I'm feeling good, but I know that The Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay) have given me fits, and I may have to look into adding a cutter or something else to throw to lefties. I need something because lefties are hitting me pretty good. I would hate to have to add a 5th pitch because then it's another pitch that I need to add points too, so maybe not. Who knows. But I'm having fun either way.
