Week 1: WAC Preview
By Steve Gale
This is the WAC Conference Week 1 Preview. To start off the season I thought I would do a bit of info on the team I'm picking to win the WAC Conference which is Louisiana Tech.
The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are lead by Head Coach Sonny ****s. He has taken a program and done very well with it. Building one of the netter offenses in the nation. Using the Air Raid Offense but with a balanced style makes them a deadly and unpredictable team.
WR Quinton Patton,QB Colby Cameron & HB Hunter Lee defense better come prepare otherwise this offense will put up big numbers. The defense has players like MLB Solomon Randle,FS Chad Boyd, & SS Jamel Johnson who will be looking to make a name for themselves as well.
LA Tech has a huge opening game at home vs Texas A&M. Along with out of conference games vs Houston,Rice,Illinois, and Virginia. This team could pull a Boise State and possibly be undefeated. With some luck maybe even making a BCS bowl.
Don't forget to stop back tomorrow and checkout our Week 1 Preview of the rest of the NCAA. I will have a bit on Notre Dame football and if they will ever return to being one of the elite progams in the BCS. Also we will have our Matchup Preview vs Sacramento State.
Heres the teams from The WAC scheduled to play in Week 1.

Week 1: NCAA Review
By Steve Gale
Can Notre Dame become a National Power? This is a question I ask you the readers. My personal opinion is yes. When The Fighting Irish hired Head Coach Brian Kelly a few seasons ago I thought it was a excellent hire. Brian Kelly can build great offenses as he did at Central Michigan and then at Cincinnati. Question is can they build a defense that can make them a title contender?
This may or may not be the season for the return of Notre Dame. At the helm of the offense Redshirt QB Everett Golson will be the starter. He has a great TE in Tyler Eifert as a security blanket. Also to help out in the running game HB Cierre Wood will be the man.
The Notre Dame defense actually might be the strength of the team this season. Led by future first rounder Senior MLB Manti Te'o. To help him they also have impact players Redshirt Seniors DE Kapron Lewis Mooe and SS Jamoris Slaughter.
I think Notre Dame by far has the toughest schedule in the BCS. They face Michigan State,Michigan,Miami,Stanford,Oklahoma and USC. Thats a tough road to go through but if Notre Dame can go undefeated they should be playing in the National Title Game no matter who else is undfeated.
In 2 days the 2012-2013 season starts for your New Mexico State Aggies. Come out and support the team as they face Sacramento State!

Week 1: Matchup Preview vs Sacramento State
By Steve Gale
((Just a note I thought the game was on a Saturday but its on a Thursday some I made a mistake in that department. So plz accuse the error))
Well tomorrow is the day the 2012-2013 season begins for The New Mexico State Aggies. With a 10pm kickoff under the lights of Aggie Memorial Stadium they will place host to Sacramento State.
This game will be a good early opener for the Aggies as they can see how both the offense and defense do. Hopefully with a win the Aggies can take the game film from this game and apply it to next weeks game against The Ohio Bobcats.
I look for HB Robert Clay to have a big game against the Hornets. Despite this being the first actual game for the new offense New Mexico State's talent on offense should be able to carry the Aggies to a win.
On defense I am looking to see who steps out and wants to make a name for himself in this defense. The defense will be needed as the season goes on and if the Aggies have any hopes of being a bowl eligble they will need their defense to step up.
My Prediction
Sacramento State 17
New Mexico State 34
