GAME RECAP

This is the worst worst case scenario that could have possibly happened. One of the worst defensive performances of the entire season, heck, even both seasons since Mike Iceshore got appointed as the GM. We can only hope that it was a bad fluke, and that the Magic are going to come back strong for Game 4. Losing a game by that much is bad, but losing by that much on home court is even worse. The 1st half went rather well, with the Magic being up by one, it looked very similar to Games 1 and 2. But the Bucks came out of the lockers very strong and scored 24 points in the 2nd half, more than in both of their entire previous games. Dwight Howard scored 11 points, but didn't get a single block/steal. This is what happens when Dwight doesn't come up big on defense. It just puts way more pressure on him and the team for the next games. It seems normal to rely on Howard for the entire season, but when he has an off night, the whole team suffers. It's something for the GM to keep in mind, as even Superman can't be superb every single night. Also the shot selection was poor, to put it mildly. Orlando took 5 threes and missed all of them. And they literally kept hitting their heads against the wall without getting through. But Game 4 beckons, and the Magic still are at home, and that is important. They have an excellent chance to come back strong and take command of this series.

PLAYER OF THE GAME

Although Dwight statistically is the best Magic player of the game, he didn't succeed on defense, and, on this occasion his 11 points weren't enough. Marcin Gortat becomes our player of the game, although he had only 3 points. But how big those points were. Bulldozing his way for a 3-point play, which nearly turned the game around at the beginning of the 4th quarter. His play cut the Bucks' lead down to 2 points. But it wasn't enough, as the Bucks came back very strong to take a 15-point victory in Game 3.
