WEEKLY RECAP
I have to admit, I am pleasantly surprised. 3-for-3 this week. You can't really expect much more than that, although the loss of Sharp and Kane has really influenced the team. The Blackhawks offense hasn't been able to produce more than 2 goals each of the last 6 games. The defense has tightened for that reason and also the 2 surprise shutouts from Crawford and the youngster Alexander Salak. It has gone well for the Hawks, but they can't be expected to hold up like this for the entire season. If the Hawks can't score more than 2 goals per game, they're going to be in big trouble.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
In a week where defense won all three games, defender Duncan Keith earns our player of the week award. He's been invisible(which is a good attribute for a d-man) and has been able to jump out just at the right times to stop the opposing forwards. He's +2 this week with 4 blocked shots and 4 hits. Add a goal to it and you have a complete player of the week.
