WEEKLY RECAP

It was hard to imagine the chance of even making the playoffs back before the all-star break. The struggling Magic have been resurrected since then and now have a chance to defend the title. An incredible 17-4 record have put Magic back in the contenders. The week was not that good however; two very close losses to Charlotte and New Jersey made the Magic fans increasingly worried. They were only 8th at the time. But the Magic rallied and put everything on the two games against Milwaukee and again Charlotte. And the fans could sigh in relief. Two strong victories and no problem for anybody. But it's not over yet. Although Orlando can't obtain home court advantage anymore, they would be more than happy to finish in 5th place. Playing Milwaukee or Chicago would be considerably easier than Miami or Boston. Final three games will be versus Indiana, at Philly and versus Chicago.

The Magical player of the week

No concrete individual earns the player of the week award for Orlando. It's been a team effort and it shows by the assist number. The Magic averaged 5 assists per game this week and it is better than the league-leading Heat(4.6 APG). So for this week, every Magic player is the player of the week.
