Rookie scouting report:

Nr.14: Pedro de la Rosa

At the age of 28, de la Rosa is older than most rookies of the sport. But his attitude and hunger are his main assets and, becoming a champion in numerous Formula Ford, Formula Renault and F3 championships, he is the highest rated rookie in this season and Arrows will be looking forward to every point he can deliver.

Nr.16: Mike Iceshore

A Latvian native, the 22-year old hotshot has achieved moderate success during his very, very short F3 career. He started his first British F3 season last year and ended up fourth, behind three Brazilian futures: Enrique Bernoldi, Luciano Burti and Mario Haberfeld. He finished on podium 5 times, no wins however. But he also finished in points with incredible consitency and that is most likely why hhe secured a test drive and a spot on the Prost team.

Nr.21: Marc Gene

The 25-year old Spaniard has had a tough career for a Formula driver. He has had good seasons in lots of different competitions, best being a win and a couple of podiums, which ranked him 5th in Formula Ford, but those have always been compensated with couple of pointless and poor seasons. He has arrived in F1 with the help of the immensely desperate Minardi team, and he has a chance to really show what he can do. It may be his only chance, however; No other team has really looked into him and if he doesn't shine, it will be unlikely for him to remain in F1 next season.

Nr.23: Ricardo Zonta

A talented brazilian rookie, no doubt. Winning FIA GT in itself is quite the accomplishment. And he has plenty to go with it. But one problem with the possibility of his future career in the F1 is his quiet temper. It has been speculated that he is just a doorpad for BAR Team director Craig Pollock and his Number 1 driver Jacques Villeneuve to wipe their feet on. Whatever that means. We'll just have to wait and se. There are many possibilities of how his career could turn out.
