College Bowl Games!!!!!!!

I know all who read this are already thinking they have heard enough about bowl games but I would just like to post an alternative that I would think everyone could be happy with.

The only reason we have had bowl games for so long is that they are a great way to advertise. Companies pay tons of money to get their name on that bowl and whenever there is a commercial break you see the same advertisement. The main 2 things people hate about bowl games are 1. there is no true system saying where each team goes where lets face it, it really is luck 2. teams who really arent that great are still rewarded, for example Notre Dame went 6 and 6 this year and is going to HAWAII what up with that. I wish that if I only was average or was bad at something I got rewarded.

Anyway my solution is to have bowl games AND a playoff. They would cut the # of bowl games down to say 10 at the most probably less and then the top 8 teams in the polls would go into the playoffs. Then you truely have the best 8 teams playing for a chance to win the championship. There would be no snubs. If your not in the top 8 too bad try again next year and thats it. The bowls would keep the companies happy and it still somewhat rewards GOOD teams, not Notre Dame 6 and 6 stuff, for there season. Then bowl games mean less.

Hopefully this provides an alternative to the college post season. Please leave me your thoughts.
