Mario66's Blog
So I signed up on this site yesterday and I can't wait to get more involved as this looks to be a great site. I read the article on FIFA 09 manager mode and it made me think twice about the team I would play with.
I was thinking to play with Inter Milan as I was looking forward to playing with my favorite team that I watch every Sunday (or sometimes Saturday). I was looking forward to playing around with the different possibilities of fowards. With Inter, there are so many different pairings you can do up front because of their forward depth. I wanted to really see how good my favorite player Mario Balotelli was as well.
BUT, I read the article (as I said) and I thought to myself that it might just be too easy and a bit boring half way through the season. The team I'm thinking about now to use in Manager Mode is Salernitana (Italy, Serie B), the city in which 80% of my family lives. With this option, I could try to move up into Seria A and hopefully not get fired like the real Salernitana coach did this week. Di Napoli is a great forward, but at 35 years old I would need to find some new forwards. I hope to trade for Balotelli as I just love the guy, but I doubt I'd be able to snag him. Playing with Salernitana would also enable me to learn more about this team as they are my 2nd favorite team. It would be challenging, but I'd also play in Coppa Italia (Italian Cup) which makes up for the lacking of the Champions League. I believe this option (choosing Salernitana) would be more fun and challenging.
I'm leaning towards picking Salernitana to start Manager Mode when I get FIFA 09 (hopefully soon), but I am not 100% sure. Well there you go -- there is my first blog (hopefully the first of many).
