Hello everyone! I hope you have all stood by anxiously checking my page everyday for the latest update on baseball!
The Trade Deadline is this Tuesday, July 31st at 4 p.m. E.T., 1 p.m. P.T. (The timezone I hail from). I wish I could keep a closer eye on the trade deadline but I am out in Cali for some 'business'. Cali is a feature state of many teams up for the division title and even their respective wild cards (Not too sure about the Padres). The Dodgers and Giants are clashing ... Read More

Us Mariner fans were given something else to cheer about (the bats have started to heat up for the M's as well...) last night when Tom Wilhelmsen completed a no-hitter against the best team, and my second favorite baseball team, the Los Angeles Dodgers. First off, I'm going to list off some interesting facts of the game:
1. Six pitchers completed the no-hitter, the second time it has happened (the first being when the Houston Astros collectively held the New York Yankees hitless ... Read More

Who watched tonight's (5/30) game of the Mariners facing Texas?
I sure didn't. There's a certain factor that switches on when your team loses a string of games- you're prone to skip a few. So I let this game slip through my fingers.
Unfortunately, I also let slip the fact that Montero went deep, Ackley too, and Justin Smoak as well (twice). Oh, and they scored 21 runs.

5 games started, 0-1, 1.02 ERA, 35.1 IP, 20 hits, 4 earned runs (!), 36 strikeouts, 0.85 WHIP.
This is the story of Ryan Dempster, the go-to veteran pitcher of the Chicago Cubs.He is having a terrific comeback year after going 10-14 with a 4.8 ERA last season. He's averaged 7 innings per start, and averages a 1.02 ERA in each start. 1 run! That's an excellent way to start the season!
The problem is the lack of run support- as a Mariner fan I can relate with ... Read More

The month of April has come to a close, and the May flowers are still yet to come(At least in Washington State). Baseball is now officially back; from game-winning grand salamis to the butt-end of a perfect game, the Mariners went through an exciting, although exasperating April.
Do I still believe the Mariners are a good team? Of course! Good teams have to go through some rough trials to be good...
My other baseball team, the Dodgers, have been rolling. Spot cozily on ... Read More

Albert Pujols, the new LAA first baseman. He's expected to bring a stellar average (.327 career), monster power numbers (462 doubles;445 homeruns), a strong glove (.994 fielding percentage), and a Hall-Of-Fame figure to the Angels this season.
So far, he has a .224 average, 7 doubles, 0 homeruns, and all around a below-average 1st baseman who just signed a 10-year contract to be one of the faces of the franchise.
It's disheartening to see a player of this amplitude ... Read More

There's something special about ascending the stairs up into Safeco Field (at least for me) to a broad plaza with the whole field in your view. You go to a stand, grab a hot dog and some garlic fries (a staple point here at the Safe) and get down (or up) to your seat. The National Anthem wraps up and a selected 8 year-old emphatically screams, "PLAY BALL!" and the crowd of 21,223 all applause. Hector Noesi is the starter tonight against the Oakland A's. Jemile Weeks gets up into the batter's box ... Read More

True or False: Mariners currently have a good team.
True. Now, how can one say that the Mariners are a good team after a year they went 65-97? Well, you have the experience veteran hitter (Ichiro), the fresh, exciting young prospect hitter (Dustin Ackley), the superstar ace (Felix Hernandez), the number one prospect (Montero) and a slew of other players waiting to surprise the world.
That is the only problem that the M's face. All these young players are tasked with challenging ... Read More
