Irish D shuts down BC
Notre Dame's defense forces 6 turnovers

Gary Gray intercepts Eagles QB Chase Rettig. Irish picked him off 4 times Saturday.
Notre Dame jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter 14-3 and never looked back. With Dayne Crist not cleared to play due to concussion symptoms, Tommy Rees got the nod. Rees led two lengthy drives to begin the game connecting with Michael Floyd and Robby Toma for TDs. Rees started out the second quarter with another drive ending in a Davaris Daniels 6 yard TD.
Robby Toma hauls in a 54 yard TD from Tommy Rees.
The second half was dominated by the Irish D. They managed to only give up two field goals. Manti Te'o and Gary picked off passes from Chase Rettig and returned them both for TDs. The Irish held the Eagles to just 3/17 on 3rd down conversions. Chase Rettig was intercepted four times by the Irish D. Another easy win for Notre Dame. Now it gets serious.
Right Now the Fighting Irish are ranked # 5 in the country. Moments ago two unbeaten teams were just beaten. The #4 Alabama Crimson Tide were beat by the # 1 ranked Mississippi State. Then # 2 Wisconsin Badgers were upset by the Fighting Illini. This could possibly launch Notre Dame up to # 2 or 3. There are only four unbeaten teams left. They are Mississippi State (11-0) , Notre Dame (11-0), Oklahoma (10-0), and Boise State (10-0). If Notre Dame has any shot of playing in the National Championship, they have to beat # 7 Stanford next Saturday.
