Notre Dame handles Wake 41-17
Irish improve to 9-0

Harrison Smith picks off Wake Forest QB Keenon Rush.

Dayne Crist rebounded from a shaky outing against Navy to lead the Irish to a convincing win over the Demon Deacons. Crist looked much better throwing for 212 yards with 2 TD and 0 INT. Cierre Wood continued his dominance since returning from injury. He now has three straight games of 90+ yards and 2 TDs. Saturday he ran 17 times for 92 yards and 2 TD. Robby Toma also is getting back on track from injury catching 4 passes for 101 yards. Toma's fellow WR Michael Floyd suffered a high ankle sprain in the opening drive and left the game. He may miss a week or two.

Defense continues to get better for the Irish. Demon Deacons were held scoreless the first 3 quarters. Brian Kelly sent in the second string and they allowed 14 points in the 4th quarter. Manti Te'o wreaked havoc with 8 tackles and 2 sacks. Harrison Smith also played an excellent game making 11 tackles and an INT. The Irish now head to Maryland to play the Terps. This will be a little tougher for Brian Kelly and team.
