NAVY @ ND
Week 9
Who is blocking #19?
Aaron Lynch records 4 sacks in game for third time this season
ND 45 NAVY 14
Aaron Lynch records his 4th sack of the game.
Freshman phenom Aaron Lynch is doing things no other freshman has done before at Notre Dame. He is dashing through and around offensive lines and demolishing QBs. So far this year he has 17 sacks. Not to mention he has 2 fumble recoveries for TDs. "This guy is a freak of nature." said teammate Sean Cwynar who has 10 sacks himself. When asked how good Lynch was Brian Kelly smiled and said "Yeah hes not to bad." Saturday against Navy he was able to record 4 sacks.
The game against the Midshipmen was never close. Cierre Wood only got 10 carries but took advantage with every one. He finished with 174 yards and 2 TDs. Meanwhile, Dayne Crist struggled to find rhythm. He threw 3 TDs but also threw 3 picks. Crist looked frustrated on the sidelines and declined comment after the game. Next up for the Irish is a trip to play Wake Forest.
The Irish had three more recruits commit after the Navy game.
